Vapac steam humidifiers systems come under three categories, electrode, resistance and gas-fired steam humidifiers. Electrode steam humidifiers are designed to maintain regular levels of humidity using solid state relays, which respond to the steam output and adjust with the environment humidity. One of the main features of the electrode system is the cylinder, allowing shorter down times due to faster replacements and easier maintenance. The replaceable cylinder also means that new components are installed, resulting in few problems and higher efficiency, where as cleanable systems have easy to maintain screens. The cylinder systems also contain an automated monitoring system for water conditioning. The resistance systems do not use a cylinder, instead they incorporate energy efficient heater elements to generate the steam. The components are made from stainless steel, thus making them easier to maintain and increases efficiency. Vapac's gas-fired steam humidifier combines low fuel consumption with efficient heat output, while maintaining a low flue temperature, and high performance, making it a reliable choice for installers.

JS Humidifiers provide electrode, resistive and gas-fired steam humidifier systems. The Neptronic system is a self contained resistive unit, compact in size although able to generate 80kg of steam per hour, equal to medium sized steam humidifiers. The components are self cleaning and have scale inhibitors, resulting in low maintenance and longer run times. The Electrovap is an electrode steam humidifier, and generate from 5-90kg of sterile steam per hour, Electrovap unique system can be run in a series, providing from 40-60kg of depending on the number of units installed. These are monitored to run with equal intervals so the workload is shared. The benefits of cylinders is the ease of replacing and maintaining the system, with a simple drain and replace mechanism. The Neptronic SKG system carbon footprint is considerably lower than conventional gas-fired humidifiers, and comparing the energy output, the system is also one of the most efficient.
